Brief History :

The 2013 competition produced varied and amazing video and still images resulting in a tightly contested Shootout. The competition grew in entrants, prizes and exposure and we are looking forward to the 2014 event!
The format of the 2014 DUC SHOOTOUT remains the same.
R300 allows a total of 3 submissions, which can consist of both video and stills. Contestants are allowed to capture their images off the Eastern coast of Southern Africa with a range from Mozambique to Cape Town. Contestants have between the 29th of March 2014 and the 4th of May 2014 to capture their images.
The DUC Shootout is open to all marine photographic or video enthusiasts at all levels -from the novice with the simplest camera and housing, to the dedicated photographer or videographer. We will see your best submissions from macro to wide angle, from Cape Town to Mozambique!
